Dead Celebrity Status is a Canadian hip-hop band. Rappers Yas Taalat and Bobby McIntosh formed a precursor group, Project Wyze, in 1988 as young teens. The duo later collaborated with a group of punk rock musicians and became best known as a rap-metal band, but hip hop remained Yas and Bobby's first love.
