Debbi always wanted to be in the same band as her bigger sister and when one day her band needed a drummer, she did everything to get into that band.
Debbi only took one drumlesson, in which she remembered how to hold the sticks.
It's also said that Debbi wanted that the video for "Eternal Flame" had to be re-cut, because she thought that Susanna was shown in too much; and she too little.

The original lineup was Susanna Hoffs (guitar, vocals), DebbiPeterson (drums, vocals, bass), and Vicki Peterson (guitar, vocals, bass); this lineup made one 45, "Getting out of Hand" b/w "Call on Me".
