Marina del Rey is a census-designated place and seaside town located in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County, California.
It is served by its own freeway, the 3-mile-long Marina Freeway (Highway 90) which links Marina del Rey directly to Interstate 405 and nearby Culver City.
Marina del Rey is completely surrounded on all sides by the City of Los Angeles, a section of which, while in L.A. City proper, identifies itself as "Marina del Rey," in association with the unincorporated, census-designated section of L.A. County.
