Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu is one of the Big Four auditors. Previously known as Deloitte & Touche, it was formed by merger of Touche Ross and Deloitte Haskins & Sells in August 1989. Its global headquarters are located in Manhattan, New York City.


The names in the company title refer to William Welch Deloitte, George Touche, and Admiral Nobuzo Tohmatsu.


Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu is a Swiss Verein (association). This means that DTT or its members are not liable for each others' acts or ommissions.


Diversity

Deloitte was named one of the 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers in 2004 by Working Mothers magazine.
