According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 6.7 km² (2.6 mi²). 6.7 km² (2.6 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. Delta lies within the watershed of the Maumee River. Bad Creek, a tributary of the Maumee River, flows through the village. Alternate U.S. 20 and State Route 2 go through the village in an east-west direction. State Route 109 goes through the village in a north-south direction. The Ohio Turnpike runs in an east-west direction approximately 2 miles north of the village. There is an interchange at the intersection of State Route 109 and the Ohio Turnpike. Culture & History Delta has a system of public schools known as Pike-Delta-York. This was the consolidation of the village school and two surrounding township schools. The sports teams that represent the Delta public schools are known as the Delta Panthers. In the summer of each year the village hosts a Chicken Festival. The pride and joy of the city of Delta is that it is the home to the former mega-hit Christian rock band Jonas and the Big Tree who has split up due to the emergance of a modern-day "Yoko." They were never the same.
