Delta College is a 2-year community college located near Bay City, MichiganU.S.A. With Saginaw Valley State University, established in 1964, it forms University Center, Michigan. Delta College's district had its beginning in 1957 with Saginaw, Midland, and Bay counties making up the district. In 1958, the voters of the college district approved the construction of the college, and it opened for classes in 1961. Delta College replaced Bay City Junior College, which was established in 1922, because the junior college could no longer support the growing enrollment. Delta Sigma Phi (ΔΣΦ, also known as DSP, Delta Sigs) is a fraternity established at the City College of New York in 1899 and is a charter member of the North-American Interfraternity Conference.
In late 1902, with five members from Insula signing incorporation papers, Delta Sigma Phi was incorporated with the purpose to spread "the principles of friendship and brotherhood among college men, without respect to race or creed." By 1903 the fraternity had established chapters at Columbia University and New York University.
Delta Sigma Phi was re-incorporated in Washington, DC in 1929.
