Delta Omicron Sigma is a national veteran's fraternity based in the US. Membership is open to all honorably discharged military veterans, current and discharged reservists, National Guard, and Coast Guard. The intention is to bring together the veteran scholar, those persons who having completed military service make the choice to further their education Delta Omicron Sigma was founded August 7, 2003 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Originally Delta Omicron Sigma was intended as a local fraternity to fill the void left by the demise of other national fraternity offices. During the summer of 2004 Delta Omicron Sigma became a national fraternity with the inclusion of a chapter in Denver, Colorado.
