Democratic Bharatiya Samaj Party, political party in Punjab, India. The party president is Vijay Kumar Hans. In the Lok Sabha elections 2004 DBSP had put up two candidates, Vijay Kumar Hans from Jullundur (1 288 votes, 0,17%) and Parminder Singh Qaumi from Bhatinda (5 429 votes, 0,71%). In the Punjab assembly elections 2002 the party had put up nine candidates, who together got 3 189 votes.
It is a recognised political party in the state of Maharashtra.
The party web page shows a flag with a red gear wheel, green plough, and a white cottage printed together on the auspicious yellow cloth which is the Telugu Desam's official flag.
The red gear wheel represents the power of the labor and industrial progress, the green plough represents the power of the farmers and the progress of the harvest, and the white cottage represents the purity of the down-trodden, and their welfare.
