Deniliquin, known locally as "Deni", is a small town (population signposted as 8,000) and Local Government Area in the Riverina region of New South Wales close to the border with Victoria. The surrounding area is principally involved in rice cultivation. The town itself is a significant regional hub, boasting a Coles supermarket, a KFC and a McDonald's.
