Denistone East Public School is a large local primary school educating over 800 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 which was rebuilt in 2005 with completely new administrative, assembly and classroom blocks. Denistone East features an unusual roundabout at the intersection of Lovell, Quarry, North Roads and Cecil Street (Midway) that resembles a figure 8. At present the suburb is served exclusively by Sydney Buses (STA) services.
