Dennis and Linda Daugaard

Dennis M. Daugaard (born June 11, 1953) is the current Lieutenant Governor of South Dakota. Daugaard was elected in 2002 on a ticket with Governor Mike Rounds, and the two were reelected in 2006. Prior to his current office, Daugaard served was a member of the South Dakota State Senate from 1997-2003. Daugaard is also the executive director of the Children's Home Society of South Dakota. There is speculation that Daugaard may seek the Republican nomination for governor in 2010, but he has not announced his intentions for that election.
