During the summer of 1998, Angelettie was honored, along with a team of other producers, with the New Horizon Award for "up-and-coming" producers by the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Inc. (the Recording Academy).
The honor was not in vain, as Angelettie's skills helped to polish such best-selling efforts as Biggie's Life After Death and Puff's No Way Out, not to mention his comedic antics showcased on the Bad Boy label releases.
Angelettie also showcases the talent lined up under his new Crazy Cat label with new and promising ability in such artists as Picasso Black, Fierce, Erika Kaine and Mae West, among numerous others.
