Deschambault is a village in the Canadian province of Quebec, located at a Latitude 46°38' North and Longitude 71°55' West. As of 2001, the population was 1,263. The area of the village is 56.97 square kilometres. It is located in Portneuf County.

The church of Saint-Joseph de Deschambault (769 words)
The parish of Saint-Joseph de Deschambault is situated on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence river between Québec and Trois-Rivières.
In Deschambault the wall at the end of the sacristy is flat but the corners are rounded.
This layout was originally used at the end of the 18th century in the Anglican Cathedral of Québec and in Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu although an elevation with a double storey of windows and without a side gallery is to be found from the middle of the century at Sainte-Famille de Cap-Santé.

November 16: Quebec, Quebec - Governor Gosford issues warrants for the arrest of 26 Patriote leaders on charges of high treason, after the Rebellion of 1837's first skirmish at Longueuil; Papineau and Wolfred Nelson among those named; only five leaders will be captured.
November 22: Montreal, Quebec - Charles Gore leaves Montreal for Sorel on the steamboat Saint George with 500 men; his plan is to meet up with Wetherall at St-Charles, and move with a combined force of 2,000 Waterloo veterans against the Patriotes in the Richelieu Valley.
