Between them they managed 16 century stands, 4 in excess of 200. Haynes, in contrariety to Greenidge's belligerence with the bat, favoured a more measured approach to batting. However, he still managed a redoubtable 7487 runs in 116 matches at an average of 42.29 and until recently held a number of records in one-day cricket, including most runs and most centuries.
