Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 2,098 people, 908 households, and 601 families residing in the county. The population density is 2/km˛ (5/mi˛). There are 1,032 housing units at an average density of 1/km˛ (2/mi˛). The racial makeup of the county is 97.33% White, 0.05% Black or African American, 0.38% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.14% from other races, and 0.71% from two or more races. 2.72% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
