Deutschlandradio Kultur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (337 words)
Deutschlandradio Kultur (abbreviated to DLR Kultur or DKultur) is the culture-oriented radio station of the German national Deutschlandradio service.
The western Deutschlandfunk in Cologne and RIAS in Berlin were merged with Deutschlandsender to form Deutschlandradio and brought under the existing Alliance of the Public Broadcasters of Germany (ARD).
Deutschlandradio Kultur can also be received via the Deutschlandradio website, both as a live stream and as downloadable podcasts of individual programmes.

The nationwide broadcasting stations, Deutschlandfunk and Deutschlandradio Kultur, are amongst the main media in Germany and can be favourably compared with the information and cultural stations of the English BBC or Radio France.
Its aim, through the cross state perspective of its programmes, is to make a con- tribution to the unity of Germany and it is also present everywhere as a top class cultural factor, for example as concert organiser.
Deutschlandradio broadcasts in two information and culturally orientated stations: Deutschlandfunk from Cologne as well as Deutschlandradio Kultur.
