Youth and family

Devlin was born sometime before 2140, because he is about 40. His father ¨was Mr. Waugh and his mother Stella Waugh, a famous actress until she got crippled to wheel-chair. Devlin also has/had a brother Freddie Waugh. After Devlin's father died, his mother took both boys to Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. Freddie hated the stay but Devlin found it amusing. Devlin never applied too much to his brother, because Freddie was "gambler and professional pornographer". But later, Devlin and Freddie reunited in order to defeat the monstrously mutated skull of biblical King Herod, by which Freddie sold his soul to the Devil to find a way. Fredie then went skiing in the alps and he has never been heard from again. Devlin's youth was marked by strict and un-compromising grooming, especialy uncontroversial in good manners. Exorcist career

Devlin soon found his true calling in life. He became an exorcist for the Vatican. His popularity grew more and more and many viewed and still view him as the best exorcist Vatican ever had. Fellow agents like Pussy Willow or the Catechist were seen as very weak substitutes. Devlin's cases were possibly the most wide-ranged in Vatican exorcist history. He regulary meadeled with Psi Mr.Bliss, who was by far his most powerful oponent. Other enemies included Kurt Jester, with whom he though upon the rough of the speeding trans-Siberian express, the Antipope, and most regularly with Cult of the Purple Fist led by a Living Lava lamp, who once kidnapped his mother and tried to force Devlin to shave off his moustache on Live Satelite TV.

Olympics and Helsinki scandal

Devlin is a keen sportsman and won a gold goblet at the Duseldorf Olympics. At the Helsinky Olympics, he won gold in flower-arranging for Brit-Cit(future Great Britain), yet was disqualified when he tested positive for steroids.

Chasing Herod

The first apearance of Devlin in 2000ad was the Chasing Herod,Reign of Frogs Sirius Rising 24 part saga(+ prologue). In this saga, Devlin is dying of boredom at a party that presents the movie "Swimming In Blood" alongside his partner Antonio. Meanwhile at Neuschwanstein Castle, Lady Fading Light prepares with the fakir for a certain illegal action. A cardinal who is fast asleep is awakened and does as he told. Fakir appears at the scene and steals, with the help of others, the skull of Herod. Devlin is called to the scene. After a brief Psichycal interezmo through the help of telepath Jenny, Devlin and a strike team of Vatican Judge-Inquisitors interlude the illegal auction, but the Jack of Mice takes the skull and quietly leaves. Devlin pursues him, yet he cannot stop the Jack of Mice from killing himself and resurrecting Herod. Afterwards, Devlin is nearly beaten to death by the rampaging Herod, and is rescued from a plain at the last second.

Reign of frogs

The story starts with detective Whyteman in India and his meeting with the Jack of knives.Then the story moves to eastern Samoa,where Devlin is leizuring,trying to ignore the world and his house boys Luke and Philiph who desperately trie to reason him.Yet then comes "the league of shadows." A gathering of Devlins most utter-enemies such as Dr. Nevermind or the Catechist. Suprisingly,they came to Devlin for help and called a truce. Yet Devlin refuses, even at the request of his friend Ralph. Nevermind then brings in his mother. After a few ups and downs, Mr. Whyteman joins the team. Devlin leads the expedition to destroy Ixaxaar (an alien frog) and its "servent" a super egoistic human, Hekt, creator of Jack of Mice, Jack of Knives and Jack of Shrouds. Yet the team is defeated and Devlin and his team bearly make it out.

Sirius Rising

The story is the ending of the Herod saga, and shows Hekt's transfomation, Whiteman's death, and the Herod's destruction, first two of which happen at the North Pole(along with a surprise almost cameo apearance of an interesting character). Devlin then returns to his life of leisure.

Fetish

In this story, Devlin must team up with the ultra-byrocratic Judge Dredd in order to save the world from a crazed, superpowerful African artifact. Many have been convinced that this is not a Devlin Waugh story with judge Dredd, but a truly Judge Dredd Story and Devlin is merely comparse.

Swimming in blood

Devlin's most serious case was to rid a underwater prison called Aquatraz. A certain cardinal informs Devlin of his mission, but Devlin replies that he doesn't want to go, because he has just returned from Kenya, after being chased by the leopard-men of Mado Gashi. After a hort talk Devlin excepts. The problem was that the initiator was over-powerful vampire and bloodsire Landis, who started hell in the prison. Devlin is sent there and has full hands of work, by which he also falls in love with an Aguatraz prison guard. Other of his companions who survive to the end is Muray Koenig, pest exterminator. In the action, Devlin became a vampire as well as the 900 inmates of the prison, who escaped into the water and adapted. Landis was killed in a sequel, "Red Tide". Because Devlin became a vampire, he resigned from the post of excorcist.

Aquatraz

Aquatraz (officialy Larzvetz-Steiger prison) is/was an underwater prison complex in the black atlantic. It was intended only for lifelong sentenced criminals, and at the time of the outbreak due to Landis, it housed 900 inmates. Its principal, Craetaker Meshum, gone mad from fear and was killed through Landisses bugs.

Red Tide

Red tide is a sequel to Devlins most popular story "swimming in blood". In this story,Devlin must escort "the Daywalker")Lilith Karnstein) to the Helsink institure.he is a vampiere,but has the extreem usefull ability of being able to walk in day linght.Pofessor Helsink hopes that with Lilith's study,hell be able to find a cure for his vampiere daughter Hanah,who Lilith turned into a vampiere.Landis leads the "militia" of vampieres witch trie to take Lilith for her ability.Devlin fights alongside the few suvivors and at the end batles againts Landis himself.Lilith throws herself on Landis and tries to kill him.She yells at Helsink to blo the explosives in her captivity suit.When thats done,Landis is dead,and Liliths esence posseses Hnah and at the end bites Edvlin,alowing him to walk in daylight too.

Vile Bodies

Devlin Waugh is shown in his apartment,where he finds out tzat his lover is a female shape-changing alien.Devlin is so upset he the beats it to detah.Meanwhile above him flies the supercarrier Excelsis with to the-black-miror exposed Jericho Strange of the Endangered Species Squad,witch's head is a sheep skull.He tels Devlin about the telepathic eggs the alien laid in his head and is brough up for carantine.Afterwards theese telepathic eggs drive all of the supercariers alien cargo mad.Devin and Strange must fight their way through,but they must stay on the ship as carantine.Strange then tells Devlin to look on the bright side.They cant leve the ship,but it's crawling with sex-mad extra-terrestrials and they have minimamly 6 moths to kill.
