Li Jianhou, a 67-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, was tortured to death in the Deyang Prison in Sichuan Province.
In June 2002, he was abducted by the "610 Office" and unjustly sentenced to 3 years in prison on December 23, 2002.
In order to force practitioners to give up their beliefs, the Deyang Jail instigated violent criminals to implement inhuman torture affecting both the mental and physical state of Falun Gong practitioners, and in exchange they shortened the criminals' sentences.
