The theory in it's new form was first introduced by Mr. Mohammad Khatami, former philosopher president of Iran. He originally introduced the idea of Dialogue Among Civilizations as a response to Mr. Huntington’s theory of Clash of Civilizations, however the way it acquired global significance, makes the fact that it was originally a rebuttal to Huntington’s theory a marginal issue now.
