Dick Smothers (born November 20, 1938) is an American comedian, composer and musician from New York, New York.


Smothers is best known for being half of the musical comedy team The Smothers Brothers with his real life brother, Tom Smothers.


The brothers have appeared on numerous television shows since the mid 1960s, and even hosted two variety shows, The Smothers Brothers Show from 1965-1966, and The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour in 1967.

The Smothers Brothers are an American music-and-comedy team, formed by real-life brothers Tom (or Tommy) (born February 2, 1937) and Dick Smothers (born November 20, 1939).
The Smothers Brothers had further shows: The Smothers Brothers Show (1975) and The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour (1988–1989) and The Tom and Dick Smothers Brothers Specials I and II in 1980.
The Smothers Brothers operate the Remick Ridge Vineyards in Sonoma County, California and, as late as 2005, continued to tour.
