Hanger River or Anger River is a river in west central Ethiopia.
It is a tributary of the DidessaRiver (Didesa) and is also a tributary of the Blue Nile or the Abay River in Ethiopia (also called the El Bahr el Azraq or Bahr al Azraq in the Sudan).
The river enters the Didesa approximately half between the town of Nek'emte (Lekemt or Lekempte) and the village of Cherari, and lies west-northwest of Addis Ababa.
