Die Muminfamilie, literally "The Moomin family" was a West German television series, made by Augsburger Puppenkiste and released from 1959 to 1961 that was based on the Moomin books by Tove Jansson. It was filmed in black and white. It was notably the first television series ever to be made based on the books. In all, 12 episodes were made. West Germany was the informal but almost universally used name for the Federal Republic of Germany from 1949 until 1990, during which years the Federal Republic did not yet include East Germany. ...
