Background
Diego Zangado graduated in symphonic percussion and classical music from the Escola de Musica Villa-Lobos, one of the most traditional conservatories in Rio de Janeiro. He extended his studies taking classes from Eliseu Costa, the solo timpanist of the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theatre Orchestra and Andre Boxexa, timpanist of the Brazilian National Symphonic Orchestra and drummer of "Agua de Moringa", a well-known group of samba and choro. Diego also took compositon and harmony lessons from the eletroacoustic music composer Tato Taborda.
