Dilbeek is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. The municipality comprises the towns of Dilbeek proper, Groot-Bijgaarden, Itterbeek, Schepdaal, Sint-Martens-Bodegem and Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle. On January 1, 2005 Dilbeek had a total population of 39,288. The total area is 41.18 km² which gives a population density of 954.14 inhabitants per km². A municipality or general-purpose district (compare with: special-purpose district) is an administrative local area generally composed of a clearly defined territory and commonly referring to a city, town, or village government. ...
