Dingle Park or Sir Sandford Flemming Park is a 95-acre park located in Halifax, Nova Scotia with two major walking trails through four natural habitats:

  • second-growth woodlands,
  • a heath barren,
  • a saltwater habitat, and
  • a frog pond.

The park is also the site of a ten-story stone tower honoring Nova Scotia's responsible government, the first in the British Empire.


The park was donated to Halifax in 1908 by Sir Sandford Fleming.

The ten-storey stone "Dingle Tower" was formally dedicated in an impressive ceremony in August 1912 by Governor General the Duke of Connaught, Queen Victoria's son Prince Arthur.
The Dingle Tower is open to the public in the summer months and offers spectacular views of the city and Northwest Arm.
