chemical structure of DPT

Dipropyltryptamine (DPT) is a psychedelic and entheogenic hallucinogenic drug belonging to the tryptamine family. It is found either as its crystalline hydrochloride salt or as an oily or crystalline base. When smoked, the effects of DPT have an onset in minutes and a duration of less than one hour. DPT is metabolized by the enzyme monoamine oxidase. While DPT is orally active on its own, the combination with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) can increase the length and intensity of the experience.
