DirkLance's funky basslines have been replaced with Ben's tight grooves and Hip Hop influence, providing Incubus with a new and fresh sound.
His talent as a good bass player is clearly seen in their live DVD at Red Rocks contributing an intriguing bassline to a revamped "Drive" while showing scalar knowledge in "Stellar".
