Plot Summary

Members of a cult modelled on Aum Shinrikyo sabotage a city's water supply, then commit mass suicide near the shores of a lake. Family members (the credited cast minus Asano) of the perpetrators meet at the lake to observe the anniviersary of their loved ones' deaths. While there their car is stolen. They meet a former member of the cult who had trained for the water sabotage attack but defected last minute. He leads them to the cabin he's currently holed up in, where he and the deceased cult members had trained for the attack, and they pass the night reminiscing about those they'd known and lost, shown cinematically through improvised dialogues and flashbacks. Sakata, the surviving cult and last to see most of the departed alive, and Atsushi (Arata) interrogate one another about Yûko (played by actress/model Ryo), Atsushi's sister whom Sakata had asked to run away him the night before the attack, whom (it appears) neither really knew. Flange focal distance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (489 words)
The flange focal distance (also known as the flange-to-film distance, flange focal depth, or register, depending on the usage and source) of a lens mount for an interchangeable lens camera system is one of its most fundamental attributes.
This is the distance from the mounting flange—the metal ring on the camera and the rear of the lens—to the film plane.
Flange focal distance is one of the most important variables in a camera, as lens seating errors of as little as 0.01 mm will manifest themselves critically on the imaging plane and focus will not match the lens marks.
Film & TV: Going the Distance (Austin Chronicle . 06-07-99) (2014 words)
Among his most noted works are films about China's Cultural Revolution and the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, and since the mid-Eighties he has done a series of docs for HBO, including pieces on the Exxon Valdez oil spill, the Lockerbie air disaster, and the Soviet shooting of a Korean passenger jet.
It was decided that the film would focus on the winner of the men's 10,000 in Atlanta, whoever he might be -- and he would almost certainly be either Gebreselassie or one of the three Kenyans in the race.
The resulting film is an unusual blend of documentary and not-quite screenplay: The film re-creates Gebreselassie's childhood using Ethiopian villagers, including many of Gebreselassie's relatives, not so much acting as simply re-creating the normal activities of their life for the camera.
