Finland is divided into 82 districts (seutukunnat/ekonomiska regioner in Finnish/Swedish). The districts are formed by groups of municipalities within the 20 Regions of Finland. The districts represent a LAU 1 level of division used in conjunction with the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics.
