The Division of Franklin is an Australian Electoral Division in Tasmania. The division was created in 1903 and is named for Sir John Franklin, the polar explorer who was Lt Governor of Van Diemen's Land1843-46. It is located in southern Tasmania, including the Hobart suburbs of Bridgewater, Cygnet, Kingston and Lauderdale. Franklin gave the tape to Milton Biggham (President of Savoy Music Group) who was so impressed that the wunderkind was invited to work with the D.F.W. mass Choir on their debut album.
Franklin signed a multi year producing deal on the B-Rite label, which is distributed through (the infamous) Interscope Records.
Franklin and his wife Tammy live in Arlington, Texas, and have just had their first child.
