The Division of Petrie is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. The division was created in 1948 and is named for Andrew Petrie, the first free settler in Brisbane. Petrie is located in south east Queensland, and is generally based on the outer northern suburbs of the City of the Brisbane, and takes in the whole of the City of Redcliffe. The division is named after Andrew Petrie (1798-1872), a noted civil engineer, pioneer and explorer, and the first free settler in Brisbane (1837).
