Frank Howard Dodd, (1844-1916), was the leading publisher at Dodd, Mead and Company of New York City from 1870 until his death, January 16, 1916. He had joined the publishing firm of his father, Moses Woodruff Dodd (1813-99) in 1859. His father retired in 1870. Edward S. Mead and Bleecker Van Wagenen joined the firm, and Dodd, Mead and Company became one of the leading publishing firms in the United States.
