In the fictional Gundam universe, the Dolos class was one of the largest vessels ever constructed. Designed and built by the Zeon to be the ultimate space weapon, this ship has 8 two-barrel beam turrets and room for 182 Mobile Suits. However, the vessles are so large and combersome to manuver that they were only used as semi-movable defensive structures during the One Year War. In addition, while their mobile suit capacity was tremendous, with only 7 launch bays it was very time-consuming to launch them all. Only two of these vessels were built, and both saw action in defense of A Ba A Quo. One of these ships, the Dolowa, was the mothership of Zeon ace pilot, Anavel Gato, and served at both the Battle of Solomon and the Battle of A Ba A Quo, before it was destroyed. The Dolos class ships were both sunk during the battle of A Ba A Quo, helping the Federation to secure victory in the One Year War.
A product of Gihren Zabi's quest for the ultimate war-winning super weapon, the Dolosclass was the largest dedicated mobile suit carrier ever built.
With the capacity to carry an unprecedented 182 mobile suits, the Dolos would carry almost an entire corps within its vast hull.
However, like many of Gihren's super weapons, the Dolos had flaws, the most principle of which was the lack of adequate launching facilities for its massive MS compliment.
Traditional grammatical analysis takes the number of declension classes in Classical Arithide to be six, but the sub-classes that are sometimes sufficiently distinct from their ostensible parent class render the number about double.
The eighth, and last, declension class comprises the derived nouns, ending in any of -os, -as or -ir, and is the most regular declension class due to its character: it is the only class in which no irregularity is observed in any individual noun.
The sixth declension is the only class of nouns that has variant stems: in the plural, the -on (which is actually part of the stem; the class marker is a null morpheme) fronts to become -ēn-.
