Given his birthplace, he started his works in the florentine manner but then went to Venice and adhere to the venetian standards of painting, following mostly Tintoretto. He was known to have an astonishing speed of painting but unfortunately to be quick he used less amount of paint and so most of his works were severely damaged by time.
