Domingo Nieto Peruvian soldier and Politician, he was President of Peru between 1843 and 1844.


Nieto was born in Lima in 1803. He sided with Ramón Castilla in the overthrow of the "Supreme Dictator" Manuel Ignacio de Vivanco, assuming the presidency of Peru. He died in office on February 17, 1844. Castilla succeeded him.
