The league consists of thirty-four teams in six different divisions: Cibao, Boca Chica Americana, Boca Chica Nacional, Santo Domingo Oeste, Santo Domingo Este, and San Pedro de Macoris. Each team is affiliated with a different major league franchise; five franchises have two teams.
