Donald J. Williamson is the mayor of Flint, Michigan. He was elected in 2004 after Mayor Woodrow Stanley was recalled. He worked to reduce the city's deficit, and as a result the city's financial emergency was revoked. His wife, Patsy Lou Williamson, was a democratic candidate for Michigan's 27th Senatorial District. A mayor (from the Latin māior, meaning larger,greater) is in modern times the title of the highest ranking municipal officer, who discharges certain judicial and administrative functions, in many systems an elected politician, who serves as chief executive and/or ceremonial official of many types of municipalities. ...
