Donna Shalala

Donna Edna Shalala (born February 14, 1941) served as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services under President Bill Clinton. Shalala was known for her fervent anti-drug stance, saying "Marijuana is illegal, dangerous, unhealthy, and wrong."


She is now president of the University of Miami ironically receiving her bachelors degree from Ohio's Miami University in the Western College for Women (aka Western College Program).


Shalala once played on a little league team coached by present owner of the New York Yankees George Steinbrenner. She was also once Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. In high school, she was an Ohio State Tennis Champion.
