Donut King is Australia's biggest doughnut franchise. Before the introduction of Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts in the Australian market, Donut King was well established in the country. The Donut King chain was founded in 1981 and is currently owned by the Gold Coast-based Retail Food Group Limited. Retail Food Group Limited also owns the bb's cafe franchise system which incorporates 70 stores within Australia and New Zealand.
