Later on, Doogie integrated TRIXTER, a band mixing their own material on covers. During one of their gigs, Chris met Chic Mc Sherry, with whom he formed LA PAZ. After 4 years spent in the band, Doogie met a young 17 year old guitarist, Alex Dickson, whose band had supported LA PAZ on several occasions. Later Alex moved to London to join a band formed by Jem Davis. Unfortunately their search for a singer was revealed fruitless. In September 2001, Doogie was hired on lead vocals during Yngwie MALMSTEEN's tour, but he officially collaborated on his album "Attack" in June 2002. In February 2002, he worked with CORNERSTONE on the album "Human Stain" as lead singer. The album was released on February 25th 2002, on Massacre Records and then Doogie joined the band for a lot of touring. In January 2003, Doogie has contributed lead vocals to a couple of tracks for the up and coming PRAYING MANTIS album called “The Journey goes on”. The album featuring Doogie and John Sloman on vocals was released on Frontiers Records in Europe and also Pony Canyon in Japan in May 2003. "I had such a blast singing on these songs. They are varied in the texture and approach vocally. I tried to bring a bit of theatre to some of the sections and full balls out rock on other parts." In Spring 2003, Doogie embarked on another European tour with Yngwie Malmsteen. In June 2003, Doogie was off to Copenhagen to record the vocals on the new Cornerstone album called "Once Upon Our Yesterdays". The album was released on November 10th on Massacre Records and the band headed on tour although Spring 2004. In May 2004, Doogie joined M3 (Moody Marsden Murray) for a few songs on their UK tour.
