Unluckily, before much could get underway, Flytv was cancelled and the funding for the television series cut. But this was not to stop them. After using some contacts inside the ABC, they regained the funding for the show, Double the Fist, and it aired, late-night on Fridays in 2004. Somehow, the show was nominated for an AFI award, and even more strangely, it won over tough competition. However, this did nothing for the crew, and nothing was made by them for quite some time. As nobody really knew who Doug was, he remained unemployed until 2006. In early 2006 the boys from The Chaser approached Doug and asked him to join them for their new show The Chaser's War on Everything, on which he would do all the graphics and titles. Doug accepted, and worked for them on all 28 episodes. With the launch of jtv, Doug was employed again and became responsible for producing graphics and sketches, similar to those on Flytv. Doug is also currently working on the second series of Double the Fist, which will begin filming in October 2006.
