Douglas College, established in 1970, is the largest college in British Columbia. Unlike universities like Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia, up until recently, Douglas College did not issue degrees. Starting in 2006, it grants Bachelors of Science degrees in Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing, and Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation. Douglas College is often attended as a more affordable, educational "stepping stone" from high school to university for students who may require higher grades or certain prerequisites to attend SFU or UBC. The average enrollment period for a Douglas student is two years. Image File history File links Douglascollege. ...
