Characters

  • Ralph: As the father of the family, he works at the local mall as a security guard and occasionally provides words of wisdom. He loves to raid the refrigerator and procrastinate his chores. He spends most of his time watching television.
  • June: The mother of the family. She does most of the housework and has to keep an eye on Ralph to prevent him from snatching various sweets.
  • Norman: The dim-witted 19 year-old college student. He's the oldest son in the family. He has a crush on Wendy and persistently tries to win her heart despite her obvious rejections of his advances.
  • Patrick: He's the younger brother of Norman and possesses a much better intellect.
  • Penny: The youngest child of the family. She has an optimistic and cheerful disposition.
  • Wendy: Norman's beautiful college classmate. She blatantly criticizes all of Norman's faults and tries to stay as far away from him. In one strip, she sends a postcard to Norman, who's on a vacation in New York, stating that she's enjoying the time being away from him. Yet, she occasionally dates Norman despite her outcries of how horrible the experience is going to be.
  • Oogie: The lovable cat. Most of the family enjoys playing with Oogie except for Ralph.
  • Bob the Duck: A duck that lives with the family.
  • Wally the Weiner Dog: The weiner dog with very short legs. The dog is Ralph's favorite pet but due to its short legs, Wally is unable to move very far.
  • Steinbauer: He's the Drabble's next-door neighbor. He loves to compete with Ralph over Christmas light decorations or the position of president of the Homeowners Association.
  • No-Neck: A good friend of Ralph. He also works as a security guard and is slightly dumber than Ralph.
