Drago attempted a hasty escape but was soon captured and sent to the Devil's Gulag with several other prisoners. After the mass jailbreak from the Devil's Gulag, Drago teamed up with Sleuth Doggy Dogg and the Fearsom Foursome and hid out for a while, until he allied himself with Robotnik Mk II aka Dr. Eggman. Robotic duplicates of Drago and his cohorts were later deployed by Anonymous. The true Drago teamed up with the Fearsome Foursome and Sleuth Doggy Dog, together forming the Destructix. Thus renamed, the group attempted to defeat the Freedom Fighters/Chaotix on their own. Unfortunately for them, they were defeated and imprisoned, only to be later freed and pressed into the service of Mammoth Mogul. After a battle against both the Freedom Fighters/Chaotix and the Arachne, the two villain forces united, placing Drago and the other members of the Destructix together with the Arachne under both Mogul and Ixis Naugus.
