Encyclopedia > Drall

The Drall are a fictional race of beings featured in the sci-fi Star Control computer game series.

The Drall were part of the Sentient Milieu which existed several thousand years ago and spanned half the galaxy. They were one of the 7 known races of the Milieu (the others are the Faz, Mael-Num, Taalo, Ur-Quan, Yuli and the Yuptar).

The Drall were one of the four founding members of the cooperative union of races known as the Sentient Milieu, which dominated the local region of space some 30,000 - 20,000 years ago. Historical fragments show the Drall to be tall, skeletal humanoids often reaching 3 meters in height. It is suggested that the Drall evolved from a mud skipper analog, because the few images that remain show clear evidence of both mouth-lung and gill systems.

In terms of their culture, philosophy, and history, humans know almost nothing. When the Dnyarri assumed control over the Milieu, they found the Drall to be inferior to their other slave races, and compelled the Ur-Quan and the Mael-Num to destroy them.
