A Drascombe is a series of sailing boats designed by John Watkinson. Mostly undecked open day sailers but larger ones were designed with two-berth cabins. They were originally designed and built in plywood using glued lapstrake construction. As they became more popular, they were then manufactured in GRP.[1] In addition to being dependable seagoing craft that have been sailed across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, (by Geoff Stewart in a Longboat and Webb Chiles in a Lugger respectively), their wide and deep cockpits, adaptable boomless rigs and high bulwarks offer comfort to inexperienced sailors.[2] A sailboat is a relatively small wind-driven vessel used primarily for sports and personal purposes. ...
