The show was more elaborate and theatrical than her previous efforts. It featured a key-shaped stage that allowed easy view from all around the audience, various platforms including one that would circle Spears around part of the audience and a huge rain screen which poured more than 500 gallons of water. Ironically, her very last show in Mexico City was cancelled due to heavy rain and thunderstorms. The audience was heard booing Britney as she exited the stage. The stage
The stage set for the tour was a unique key-shaped structure. The main stage was round with two levels and featured a ramp that circled around to the rear, so Spears could be viewed easily by all fans attending. A catwalk that extended from the center of the stage connected to a second rectangular stage ( a "b-stage") in the middle of the arena. The stage setup appeared minimal, but featured multiple elevators and video screens. The design allowed audience members to sit all around the stage including behind the stage (in the round). In addition, there was a boat-like platform suspended by wires that sailed along the length of the catwalk above the crowd. In some pop and rock concerts held in arenas and stadiums, a B stage is a small secondary stage, usually located in the middle of the concert floor, connected to the main stage by a catwalk of some sort. ...
Perhaps the most noteworthy structure in the stage setup was a rain screen that poured more than 500 gallons of water onto the main stage for the show's grand finale. Rain is a type of precipitation which forms when separate drops of water fall to the Earths surface from clouds. ...

Performance The show began with a woman dressed in a nightgown and carrying a lantern wandering onto the stage declaring that she is in a dream within a dream before being sucked under the stage amongst flames. After a video guided by the dream fairy, Britney's guitarist emerges from underneath the 2nd stage and rips into a roaring, rock version (from the 2000 MTV VMAs) of "Oops!...I Did It Again". Britney appears strapped onto a platform that spins her at a 360 degree turn. The elaborate show continues with multiple costume and set changes. At one point, Britney emerges from a music box dresses as a ballerina singing "Born To Make You Happy". She then loses the tutu and becomes a Hollywood star for "Lucky" before going into "Sometimes". [2] A more personal moment came on the second leg of the tour when Britney sat by her piano player and discussed her life. She then sung short songs accompanied by her piano player that she recently wrote. At most shows, she sung a jazzy song called "Mystic Man" which uses a line from NSYNC's "Gone". At other shows, she sung "Weakness", "My Love Was Always There", and "You Were My Home", all of which she debuted at various shows on the tour. During the show, Britney flew over the audience on "the Barge", a flying platform ("I Love Rock 'N' Roll" & "Baby One More Time" (Remix)), bungee jumped, had a dance-off with herself on a video screen (Lonely), made fun in a Crayola world ("Anticipating"), and cavorted in a jungle ("I'm a Slave 4 U"). The encore begins with a rain curtain falling over the stage and a large hologram of Britney projected on it, getting smaller and smaller until the real Britney emerges in the middle of the rain and walks right through it. She sings a remix of Baby One More Time that starts off as a ballad before it speeds up. Britney and her dancers fly over the audience one last time before Britney is lowered to the stage and descends through a trap door, just giving a smile and a wave to the audience. The November 18, 2001 Las Vegas, Nevada show was taped for a special that aired on HBO and was later released to DVD. The live HBO special attracted over five million viewers.
