Backyard Babies is a Swedish punk rock band, formed in the city of Nässjö in 1987, originally comprising singer Tobbe, guitarist Dregen, bassist Johan Blomqvist and drummer Peder Carlsson.
Dregen played in the supergroup Super$hit666 with Ginger of The Wildhearts, which featured an early version of his song 'Star War' (later recorded by The Backyard Babies) under the name 'Star War, Jr'.
Dregen was also formerly a member of Swedish rock band, The Hellacopters, before leaving them to play with The Backyard Babies full-time.
