The term dres or dresiarz is used in Poland (as of 2005) to describe a stereotype of (typically) young men, generally from smaller towns and villages, generally unemployed due to the 20% unemployment rate (as of 2005), but also from commieblock areas in cities. The term itself relates to wearing tracksuit pants and/or jackets - in Polish dres. Classical dres subculture was observed in 1990s, later it merged with hip hop subculture or evolved into hooligans subculture. The alternative term for dres is kark which means "neck", and related but not synonymous term is blokers.
