Drive to the East is the second book in Harry Turtledove's Settling Accounts series of alternate history novels. It is set in an analog of the Second World War in North America, fought between the United States and Confederates States. It is scheduled to be published in August 2005.

Here are a couple of shots of the Hi-Way Drive-in Theatre located along Route 30 in Latrobe, PA. During the spring and fall, they have flea markets on the weekends.
They still have the old cement posts that use to hold the microphone but the sound is now via your radio on a certain AM station.
The Bath Drive-in of Bath, NY sports the familiar lettering "closed for the season" on its marquee.
